Kairakuen Garden, Mito
Kairakuen Garden, one of Ibaraki Prefecture's most popular tourist attractions, is a beautiful Japanese garden built in the late Edo period. The garden was created by Tokugawa Nariaki, the ninth lord of the Mito Domain and father of the 15th shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu, and is famous for its plum blossoms in spring.
